Crafting Comfort One Bead At A Time

My inspiration
After losing my father, the inspiration for making these bracelets came from a family friend and my new guardian, Drew Wilson, who introduced me to his family. They quickly became an extension of my own. A few weeks after my dad’s passing, his mother—now my “Nannie”—would sit with me, and we’d make jewelry together. I especially loved making bracelets. Every day, I wear the one I made in honor of my dad, and it always brings a smile to my face.
Through Jenkins Jewels, I hope the bracelets I create and deliver to hospice locations offer a sense of comfort to other children, just as mine did for me during such a difficult time.
About Me:

Hello, my name is Elizabeth Jenkins, and I am a 16-year-old junior at American Heritage in Boca Raton, Florida. On October 27, 2021, I lost my father while he was in hospice. That experience deeply shaped me and inspired me to find a way to bring comfort to children who have faced similar loss.
After my father passed, I was by Drew Wilson, who welcomed me into his family with open arms. Among them was his mother, Infa Wilson, who made me feel truly at home. She introduced me to jewelry-making, especially bracelets, and through our time together, I found both healing and inspiration. My father and Infa are the heart behind this business, and my goal is to create something meaningful that offers solace and connection to those who need it most.
The inspiration behind Jewels by Jenkins stems from the understanding that children experiencing a hospice journey often need extra support but may find it difficult to ask for help. We recognize the importance of offering them a tangible reminder that they are not alone. Jewels by Jenkins is built on compassion and empathy, dedicated to providing comfort and connection to these children and their families during such a challenging time.
